CADILLAC VALVE COVERS
click for larger image
A premium line of cast aluminum vavle covers for the popular 472 - 500 cubic inch Cadillac engines from 1968 to 1976. They're specially designed with a tasteful, no-frills look, reminiscent of the stately V-12 and V-16 valve covers from the 1920s and '30s. These thick aluminum castings are engineered with extra strength in the hold-down bosses to eliminate flex, and come with the correct fasteners. Generous gasket rails allow the use of impregnated cork or neoprene gaskets for a positive, leak-proof seal. While breather (or filler) holes are not provided, they can be easily be machined to each owner's personal preference. Magworks Cadillac Valve Covers are available (as shown) in semi-gloss black, or aluminum powdercoat with polished fins, or fully polished.
DISTRIBUTOR DRIVE GEARS
Our Bronze gears are made of the highest quality aluminum bronze,
which provides the wear and durability needed in today's race and high performance engines. They are precision machined to the closet tolerances. Bronze gears absorb increased wear from billet cams.
DON ZIG VERTEX BASE ASSEMBLYS
Don Zig Magnetos manufactures their own line of Vertex magneto base assemblys for special applications which require unique sizing and strength. These housings are made from aircraft quality 356T heat treated aluminum. They are precision machined and feature a heavy duty sealed ball bearing instead of a plain bushing to support the rotating shaft and a lip seal below the bearing to stop crankcase oil from infiltrating into the magneto.
DON ZIG MAGNETOS AFTERMARKET
COIL
This coil can be mounted in any position, and
there is no oil to leak out or overheat. The windings are 100% support by
an aerospace epoxy molding process that draws off all of the air bubbles
from the epoxy while in the curing oven. The bracket has a device inside
the coil in an effort to keep the coil from separating during shake or
upset. This unit has been tested for two years on blown alcohol dragsters
and sprint cars. Racers love it because it is light weight; only
three pounds, it won't break and will last longer then normal oil filled
coils
DON ZIG MAGNETOS JUNIOR DRAGSTER
COIL
A bolt-on performance module which increases
spark energy and ignition reliability. Designed for Briggs & Stratton
engines using a 5" flywheel.
DON ZIG MAGNETOS - TIMING BUZZER "The Buzz
Box"
The most accurate way to check and set timing when using a magneto.
Our unit features solid state circuitry, a recessed
switch designed to prevent accidental turn on, flexible leads and an
electronic tone generator in conjunction with an L.E.D. display.
DON ZIG MAGNETOS - TIMING LIGHT
We think that the best and most accurate way to set the timing on an engine is by the static method
(with the engine not running) using a buzz box. However, we realize that some folks just like to be able to
"see" the timing on the damper by using a strobe type timing light. This is the best one that we have found.
It features an easy to use inductive pick up which merely clips around the number one wire. It is powered by it's own
set of "D" batteries. It uses a xenon bulb which makes
the light very bright and usable in the day time. Durable construction includes a rubber-encased lens and a 48 inch pick up lead.
49-53 FORD FLATHEAD FRONT COVER $150.00
If you're running a 49 to 53 Ford Flathead with a magneto, this front cover is for you.
Made to aircraft quality tolerances through CNC machining, this lightweight aluminum front cover is designed with a bushing to stop side loading of the magneto drive assembly. This eliminates internal damage to the magneto from these forces as well as stopping spark scatter and mixing up cylinders.
The cover provides for oiling of the bushing and drive gear and includes a hold down clamp and spacer.
Pre 1949 Gear Drive Camshaft Adaptor $79.50
This adaptor bolts on to the front of the camshaft used in early blocks (which used an off-set slot to drive the distributor) and converts it to a gear drive and allows you to use the above front cover.
