Vertex magnetos are a time tested, durable and reliable ignition system.
They are available with an automatic advance mechanism which makes them ideal
for street rods and boats, any application where "drivability" is an issue.
You can also order your Vertex magneto with a mechanical tachometer drive and specify
whether you require a steel or bronze drive gear, a low profile or standard cap or with the housing polished.

Vertex Model OAC
Model OAC is available for 4,6& 8 cylinder engines and can be supplied with or without a tach drive and with or without automatic advance.
This model Vertex is the simplest high performance ignition available.
Installation requires only a single wire (other than the spark plug wires).
It generates its own high-tension alternating current from an internal coil.
It fits in the same space as your current battery operated distributor.
Its sophisticated design makes it light weight, extremely durable, very powerful and easy to install. This magneto is suitable for use in all forms of automotive competition and is adaptable to industrial and marine applications.
Vertex Model OXC
Model OXC is available for 4,6& 8 cylinder engines and can be supplied with or without a tach drive and with or without automatic advance.
This is a more sophisticated ignition and has been designed for more severe competition use. This mag shines when used on high compression engines using synthetic fuels. The larger diameter cap along with an integrated antiflash shield keeps the spark directed to the cylinders instead of flashing over in the cap area. The external coil is of the modern design. It is solidly potted in epoxy to support the windings and it can be mounted in any position. This magneto is suitable for use in all forms of automotive competition and is adaptable to industrial and marine applications.

EXTERNAL COIL CONVERSION
For increased power and spark delivery, we've taken the coil outside the Vertex unit, which allows
for more windings inside for more power, and added a conventional cap which spreads
the spark plug wires out, eliminating cross fire.
